Yesterday morning promptly at 11 o'clock an interesting wedding was held on the farm of Mr. William Geissinger, on Piney Ridge, Huntingdon county, four miles from the county seat. The contracting parties were Mr. Adam Heiffner, of Shirleysburg, and Mr. Geissinger's only daughter Mary. Both the bride and groom have a large circle of friends in Blair and Huntingdon counties and elsewhere, and a large company from near and far gathered to witness the ceremonies. A number of presents were received from the friends and relatives of the happy couple, both of the useful and ornamental sort, among which were a silver dinner service, six pieces; silver water pitcher, silver cake dish, pair of silver napkin rings, ebony and bronze clock, set of China cups and saucers, full China chamber set, two toilet sets, dozen Roger's silver knives, three dozen napkins, pair of chair tidies, lace tie and handkerchief, East India table cover, towel, set of toilet mats, towel rack, engraving entitled "From an Unknown Shore," glass fruit dishes, trailing vine and flowers in water colors and framed, and a number of other articles. The wedding party, including a number of friends from a distance, drove to Huntingdon after dinner and took the train east at 4:15 for Shirleysburg, where a reception was given to all in the evening by the thoughtful friends at the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Heiffner. Our congratulations and best wishes attend on their married way. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, September 22 [or 23], 1880
