April 17 at 10:30 o’clock Rev. Mr. Clark, pastor of the First Baptist church, of Milesburg, performed the ceremony that united John Calvin Morrison, of Warrior’s Mark and Miss Maud Thompson, of Philipsburg, in holy wedlock. The beautiful ring ceremony of the Baptist church was used in uniting these happy young people in marriage and was performed at the Baptist parsonage in Milesburg. Only a few friends witnessed the services. Immediately following the wedding ceremony the wedding party autoed to Bellefonte, had dinner at the Bush House and arrived in Tyrone at 2:15. From here they departed on a wedding tour to Eastern cities. Upon their return from their honeymoon trip they will locate in Warrior’s Mark Valley, where the groom has a splendid farm. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Thompson, of Philipsburg. She has been one of Centre county’s efficient public school instructors the past few years and is a young lady of excellent accomplishments. She is well fitted to fill her new sphere in life. The bride taught school several terms in Warrior’s Mark township and it was during her sojourn in that community that Dan Cupid got busy the result of which was the happy marriage this morning. The groom is a young man of sterling worth and is the proud possessor of a well stocked farm in Warrior’s Mark Valley. No doubt he will do his part in making the home a happy one for his young bride. Both Mr. and Mrs. Morrison have a host of friends who join with the Herald in wishing them a world of happiness and success.
