The residence of Mr. T. B. Hyskell, at Warriorsmark, was the scene of unusual activity Thursday evening, February 28. The occasion for so much stir was the marriage of Miss Kate Hyskell to Mr. George C. Waite, of Tyrone. At 7 o'clock Mr. Waite and Miss Kate entered the beautifully decorated parlor preceded by the bride's two little nieces, Misses Juliet Hyskell and Florence Hutchison, who acted as maids of honor. The marriage ceremony was performed immediately by the Rev. A. Carver, of the Warriorsmark Methodist Episcopal church. The bride wore a dress of moire silk and plush, and the groom wore the conventional black. The maids of honor wore dresses of white mull, one with cream and the other blue ribbons. After congratulations the company of about forty invited guests sat down to supper. The supper was such as is usually got up on occasions of this kind, consisting of an abundance of everything good and reflected credit on those who had charge of the culinary part. The decorations on the table were beautiful. In the center was a miniature lake, surrounded by blooming plants. The other decorations were boquets of roses and potted plants. After the supper the bride and groom were tendered a serenade by the Warriorsmark brass band. After spending the evening in social enjoyment, the guests departed for their homes wishing the newly wedded couple a long left [sic] of happiness. They received a number of useful and beautiful presents, all the lines, especially being of the finest quality. Altoona Tribune, March 7, 1889
