We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ Background Information: JOSEPH SNARE FISHER was born 23 Mar 1827 in Todd Twp, Huntingdon Co, PA and died 19 Jan 1914 in Chilhowie Twp, Johnson Co, MO. He was the son of John C. Fisher (son of Ludwig Fisher) of Newberg, Todd Twp, Huntingdon Co and Mary A. Snare (daughter of Philip Snare). He married 16 Jun 1850, his first cousin, Eleanor Crum, who was born in 1830 and died in 1915. She was the daughter of Frederick Crum and Catherine Snare (sister of his mother, Mary A. Snare). WILL OF JOSEPH SNARE FISHER (3 Apr 1913) STATE OF MISSOURI ) County of Johnson ) I J.S. Fisher, being of sound and disposing mind and in view of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, do make ordain and establish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and former wills by me made. First: I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as convenient after my death. Second: I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Eleanor Fisher all of my proper-ty both real and personal to have and enjoy the same with all the rights and privileges and appertenances thereunto belonging during her natural life should she survive me. Third: I give and devise to my son S.M. Fisher after the death of my beloved wife, forty acres, the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter, also forty acres, the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter, also fifteen acres, the west part of the West thirty acres of the Northwest quarter of the Southeast quarter all in Section 29 twp.45 Range 57. Fourth: I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy J. Baker after the death of my beloved wife, 80 acres the West half of the Northeast quarter and 20 acres of the west part of the west 31 acres of the Northeast quarter all in Sec.29 twp.45 Rg.27 subject to the pay-ment of $9.00 to my son H.C. Fisher, which sum I direct that she pay to the said H.C. Fisher before taking possession of said lands under this will. Fifth: I give and devise to my son R.S. Fisher, after the death of my beloved wife, 80 acres, the North half of the Northwest quarter also 11 acres, the east part of the west 31 acres of the Northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Sec.29 twp.45 Rg.27. Subject to the payment of $450.00 to my son H.C. Fisher which sum I direct be that he pay before taking possession of the above lands under this will. Sixth: I give and devise to my son H.C. Fisher after the death of my beloved, in ad-dition to the cash sums above mentioned the East part of the west 30 acres of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Sec.29 twp.45 rg.27. Also my residence and four acres of land lying and adjoining the right of way on the south side of the Missouri Kansas & Texas Railway, the same being and lying just south of the town of Magnolia. In addition thereto I give and bequeath to the said H.C. Fisher the sum of $600.00 to be paid him after the death of my beloved wife. All of aforesaid real estate is located in Johnson Co., Mo. Seventh:- After the death of my beloved wife should she survive me and in settling of my estate, if any personal property should remain, I direct that it should be equally di-vided share and share alike among my children above named in conformity with other clauses in this will. Eighth:- I hereby appoint and constitute M.H. Snare as my executor of this my last will and testament. Given under my hand and seal this 3rd day of Apr. 1913. J.S.
