Know all men by these presence that we, Henry Palmer and Barbara, his wife, formerly Barbara Empfield in consideration of twenty five dollars to us in hand will and truly paid by Benjamin Elliott at and before the sealing and delivery here of the receipt where of I hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by there presence do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Benjamin Elliott his heirs and assigns one equal undivided share in the lands and tenements of the late George Empfield in Wheatfield Township, Indiana County, which said tract of land is warranted to the said George Empfield and adjoining lands of William Patterson Christopher Keller and others one undivided share there of being the property of said Henry and Barbara, his wife, formerly Barbara Empfield, heir at law or devise under the will of the said George, together with all and singular the rights privileges hereditaments and appurtenances there to belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the affore said one share with its appurtenances unto the said Benjamin Elliott, his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use, benefit and behoove of the said Benjamin Elliott, his heirs and assigns for ever witness our hand and seals this 24th. Day of August Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and twenty two.
