The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ********************************************************************** * Deed book 6; page 295 Deed: James Hunters heirs to James Gibson #257 Tthis indenture Made this twenty second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six Between Martha Hunter widow and relect of James Hunter late of Blacklick Township in the County of Indiana and State of Pennsylvania deceased and Robert Hunter and Mary, his wife, James McKillip and Margaret, his wife, late Margaret Hunter, James Hunter and Jean, his wife and David Davis and Jane, his wife, late Jane Hunter of the first part and James Gibson of the Township of Centre in the County and State aforesaid (tanner) of the Second part Witnesseth whereas James Hunter senior late of said County deceased died intestate bearing issue four children to wit: Robert, Margaret, James and Jane who are the legal heirs representatives of the said deceased and whereas the said deceased was in his lifetime and at the time of his death seized and possessed in his domene as of fee in and to a certain lot of ground situate in the borough of Indiana Known in The general plan of said Borough by the number fifty four (No 54) bounded on the South by Philadelphia Street, on the East by lot No 53 on the north by an alley and on the west by lot No 55 containing Sixty feet in front and two hundred feet back. Now Know yea that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United to the Said parties of the first part well and truly paid in hand by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold aliened enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part the above described lot of ground Together with all and singular the rights privileges hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and to hold the said lot of ground with the appurtenances unto him the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns To the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever And the said parties of the first part doth hereby covenant to and with the said party of the Second part that the lot of ground aforesaid and premises Together with the appurtances they the said parties of the first part to the said party of the second part from all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same by these presents forever defend. In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have hereto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. Mary, Margaret, Jane and Jean being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from their said Husbands and the full contents thereof by me made known to them acknowledged that they Signed Sealed and delivered the same of their own free will and accord without any Compulsion or coercion of their said Husbands.
