We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ______________________________________________________________ JOHN BEATY- Purchase of his Plantation This indenture, made the twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Six , between James Orr and Mary, his wife, of the Township of Armstrong, County of Indiana, and State of Pennsylvania, of the one part, and John Beaty, late of the Kingdom of Ireland, of the other part, witnesseth that the said James Orr and Mary, his wife , for the consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars , to them in hand paid by the said John Beaty, at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof , they do hereby, acknowledge and therefore acquit and forever discharge the said John Beatty, his heirs, executors and administrators by these presents have granted, bargained and sold, aliened, release and confirm and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release and confirm unto the said John Beaty and to his heirs and assigns the one half of the tract of land on which the said James now resides and the one half of the building and improvements that is now thereon , the division to have respect to quality as well as quantity. . To have and to hold the said one half of the above mentioned tract and improvements unto the said John Beaty his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behalf of the said John Beaty , his heirs and assigns forever. And the said James Orr for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators doth covenant, promise, grant and agree to and with the said John Beaty , his heirs and assigns , by this presents that the said James Orr will warrent and defend the above described one half unto the said John Beaty from all manner of presents forever In witness whereof the said grantors to these presents have interchangably set their hand and seal in presence of Joseph Moorhead and David Reed. Recorded April 10, 1807 Indiana County S.S. Before me, the subscribed, one of the Justices of the Peace, in and for said County, personally came James Orr and his wife, Mary Orr, and they acknowledged the within to be their hands and seals , and within instrument of writing to be their act and deed , for the purposes therein mentioned and desired that it might be recorded as such The wife, being examined apart from her husband, declared that she did voluntarily of her own free will and accord, seal and deliver the within instrument as her act, and did without any exertion or compulsion of her said husband whatever Given under my hand and seal this tenth day of April Anno Domini 1807 Joseph Moorhead
