Release Petter Empfield to Benjamin Eliote, Vol. 5, Page 64, Indiana County Deed. Know all men by these presents that we Petter Empfield & Mary-his wife in consideration of fifty-two dollars and fifty cents to us in Hand well and truly paid by Benjamin Eliote at and before the Sealing and Delivery here of the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge have Granted, Bargained and Sold and by these presents do Grant, bargain sell and convey unto the said Benjamin Eliote his heirs and assigns two equal undivided shares of the land and tenements of the late George Empfield in Wheatfield Township , Indiana County which said tract of land is warranted to the said George Empfield and adjoined lands of William Patterson Christopher Killer and others one undivided share there of being the property of said Petter as heir at law of Devisee under the Will of the said George & one other undivided share or part there of having been conveyed to the said Petter by John Palmer and Elizabeth his wife formerly Elizabeth Empfield the daughter of said George deceased, by deed dated May eighth AD 1816. Together with all and singular the Rights, Privileges, Hereditaments and appurtenances there to belonging or in any wise appertaining to Have and to hold the aforesaid two shares with their appurtenances unto the said Benjamin Eliote his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use benefit and behoove of him the said Benjamin his heirs and assigns for ever. Witness our Hands and Seals this fourteenth day of August Anno Domini One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty two. Sighed sealed and delivered in presence of Petter Empfield (Seal) William Clarke Irwin Robison Mary (X her mark) Empfield (Seal) Received on the day of the sale of the above written fifty two dollars fifty cents the full consideration money mentioned above Witness present William Clarke Irwin Robison Petter Empfield (Seal) Indiana County Before the Subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County of Indiana aforesaid personally came Petter Empfield and Mary his wife the within named Grantor and acknowledged the written instrument of writing to be their Act and Deed and desired the same to be recorded as such. The said Mary being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and after the contents of this written instrument first being made known to her signed the same without any compulsion or coercion of her said husband.
