            Thyng, Henry M.



Birth.      The veteran was born on June 18, 1837 in

            Shapleigh, York County, Maine.



Marriage.   On October 7, 1868 the veteran married Hannah M.

            Carbaugh in Cherry Hill Township near Indiana

            Pennsylvania.  The date and place of her birth

            Are not given, but in February, 1913, she stated 

            she was 72 years of age.  She died on November

            26th, 1920 in Endicott, New York.



Children.   Hattie, born August 11, 1869 in Indiana, Pa.

            Frank,  born October 18, 1871



Residence.  Marion Center, DuBois and Johnstown, Pa.



Occupation. Cooper and Carpenter



Military    Private, Company A, 206th Pennsylvania

Service.    Infantry, Civil War



Pension.    The claims for pension were allowed.



Death/      November 30, 1912.  In DuBois, Pennsylvania
