Blairsville Dispatch  Fri, Aug 01, 1930
William A. Alters died Monday at 12:10 o'clock in the Pittsburgh Hospital
following a long illness. He was aged 72 years, 1 month and 13 days. Mr. Alters
is survived by one son, William J. Alters, of 335 Dorsie street, Pittsburgh, and
also by the following sisters: Mrs. Laura Shepherd, of Kingston; Mrs. Ella Kane,
of Irwin; and Mrs. Sarah Baird, of Pittsburgh. Distant relatives of the deceased
reside in Blairsville. Funeral services were held in Pittsburgh Wednesday.
Interment was made in the Blairsville cemetery, Thursday morning.
