Mrs. Dola E. Byers, 73, wife of T. L. Byers, of Water St., Indiana, passed away on
Friday, September 4, 1964, at 11:40 am, in the Indiana Hospital where she had been
admitted the day before. A daughter of George and Phoebe Pearce Neal, she was born
January 4, 1891, in Banks Twp., Indiana County. Mrs. Byers lived all her life in
Indiana County and for the past 40 years had been a resident of Indiana. In addition
to her husband, she is survived by: a son, Frank N. Whitney, Heilwood; a daughter,
Mrs. Leroy (Helen) Coleman, Home RD; five sisters: Mrs. D. R. (Dovie) Hill, Home;
Mrs. Alice Gray, Indiana; Mrs. Clara Miller, Blairsville; Mrs. Blair (Annie)
Hileman, Apollo; Mrs. Emma W. Pollock, Blairsville; 11 grandchildren and 16 great
grandchildren. Friends may pay their respect from 7 to 9 pm this evening and on
Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Robinson-Lytle's where services will be conducted
Monday, September 7 at 3 pm. Pastor Roy M. Shultz will officiate and interment will
follow in the Garden of Devotions, Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
