Tressler Baker, 59, South Liberty Street, Blairsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at her home. The daughter of Paul E. Tressler and Evelyn Boyer Tressler Meader, she was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Indi- ana. Mrs. Baker was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church of Blairs- ville. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolu- tion and the Indiana County Herb Society. She was a graduate of Blairsville High School in the Class of 1956 and was employed as an LPN at Tor- rance State Hospital until 1994. Surviving are her husband, Ron- aid E. "Pete" Baker; one son, William P. Baker, Laurel,Md.; one daughter, Jessie D. Yourick, Blairs- ville; three grandchildren, John Kennedy, Lance Yurt and Alexan- dria Delaney; her grandmother, Florence Cox, Homer City; five brothers: Wayne Tressler, Livonia, Mich.; Paul Tressler, Las Vegas; Ralph Palmer, Grays Station; Gary Palmer, Cresson; and Dana Palm- er, Blairsville; and four sisters, Mrs. William (Barbara) Maffee, Penn Run, Mrs. Calvin(Karin) Hill, Felton, Del.; Mrs. John (Carla) Crissman, Tarentum; and Mrs. Ron (Molly) Sabedra, Gray Station. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sylvia Tres- sler. Friends will be received at the Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville, from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairs- ville, with Pastor Stephen R. Herr officiating. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery.
