Beatty, Saturday, July 1, 1961, at 5:10 a.m. Born in Rayne Township, Indiana Co., near Home, September 17, 1882, she was the daughter of George J. and Belle Boucher Snyder. Mrs. Beatty lived her early life in Rayne Twp. and for more than 60 years in Indiana. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Mrs. Huber's Sunday School Class and the Zion Lutheran Women's Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Una Rebekah Lodge 292, the Ladies Auxiliary Patriarch Militant IOOF, the Mothers of Democracy, the Degree of Honor and Indiana Grange 1656. Surviving are her husband, Thomas M. Beatty, Indiana; two sons, Monroe G. of Detroit, Mich., and Thomas P. of Indiana, R.D. 1; two daughters, Mrs. C. W. (Mildred) Stiffler of New Castle and Mrs. T. W. (Betty) Darr of Baltimore, Md. One sister-in-law, Mrs. Blanche Snyder of Stockton, Calif., and eight grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at Robinson - Lytle's in Indiana, from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 where the Rev. Roy C. Hoch, her pastor, will conduct services on Monday, July 3, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery.
