Beatty, 68, of New Orleans, La., died Saturday, Sept. 15, 1967 Born in Pittsburgh on August 16, 1899, he was the son ofWilliam D. and Catherine Duffy Beatty He was a member of the Master Mates and Pilots Union, a Seaman, First Mate in the Maritime Service (ret ). a veteran of World Wars I and II, the Shrine Blue Lodge, the Grotto, VFW, and the Eagles. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vivian Butler Beatty, Chicago, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Charles B. ( Allice ) Cummings, State College, Mrs. Harry (Dorothy ) Parson, Philadelphia, a brother, John, Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the Ferguson and Son Funeral Home, Blairsville on Sunday from 7=10 PM , where services will be held Monday at 1:30 PM.
