Beatty, 79, 460 North Fourth Street, Indiana, died unexpectantly at his home on Thursday May 10, 1979 The son of Harry E. and Nora Adams Beatty, he was born Nov. 19, 1900, in Indiana. Mr. Beatty was a lifelong resident of Indiana, and a member of Calvary U.P. Church. He was employed by the Indiana Evening Gazette as a linotype operator for 49 years until his retirement in 1965. He was amember of Indiana Lodge 313 F. & A.M. , William S. Daugherty Royal Arch Chapter 313, Pittsburgh Commandery No. 1, Knights Templar and UCT 598. He was a former member of Coudersport Consistory and Jaffa Temple. Susviving are four daughters, Mrs. Vernon ( Helen ) Shaner, Mt Vernon, Wash., Mrs. Meridith (Ruth ) Lugibihl, Butler; Mrs. Paul ( Mary Jo ) Offutt, Seven Hills, Ohio; ; Mrs. Earl ( Doris ) Pearson, , Claymont, Del.; 16 grand children,; 19 great grand children, and a sister Mrs. Carl ( Meredith ) Paul, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Minser Beatty, in 1935; two brothers, Harry and Walter E., and a sister, Aletha. Friends will be received Friday from 7-9, and Saturday 2-4 1nd 7-9 PM. at Robinson-Lytle's ,Indiana, where services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 PM, with Rev. E. Vincent Stratton officiating.
