ANNIE J. DOTY BENCE, aged 65 years, of Route 119 North, Indiana R.D. 2, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 22, 1961, in her late home. Born October 29, 1896, in Rayne Township, Indiana County, she lived the early part of her life there and had resided for the past 24 years in White Township. Mrs. Bence was the daughter of the late George and Mintie Colkitt Stear and was first united in marriage with John B. Doty who died February 12, 1953. She later married Charles L. Bence who survives her. She was a member of the Evangelican United Brethren Church of Indiana for many years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: a daughter, Mrs. James (Helen) Condron of Home, PA; two step-sons, Charles H. Bence of Trafford and James L. Bence of Indiana; two step-daughters, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Anderson of Indiana, Mrs. William (Barbara) McGinnis of Indiana. There are also three grandchildren surviving and two sisters are deceased. Friends are being received at Robinson-Lytle's where her pastor, the Rev. Martin L. Kaufman, will . My copy of this obituary is cut off.She is buried in Oakland Cemetery.
