The son of Michael and Agnes Takuskie Benko, he was born March 31, 1911, in Heilwood. Mr. Benko was a member of the Church of the Resurrectidn in Heil- wood. He worked as a coal miner and was disabled in a mining acci- dent in 1944. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Roberts Benko, Clymer RD 2; two sons, Thomas and Jack, both of New Jersey; three daughters, Betty Ben- ko, Clymer; Barbara Yarusinsky and husband, Andy, New Jersey, and Linda Benko, Clymer; 10 grand- Children and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jacolj and Joseph. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Harry J. Bence Funeral Home, Clymer, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. A funer- al mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in the Church of the Resur- rection, Heilwood, with the Rev. Stephen Bugay as celebrant. Inter- ment will be in the church cemetery at Cameron's Bottom..
