Bowman, 87, of 625 Stewart Drive, Washington Town- ship, died at 12:05 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at West Haven Nursing Home, Washington Township. The daughter of James H. and Rebecca M. McQuicklin Walker, she was born Aug. 3, 1910, in Washington Township. A homemaker, Mrs. Bowman had lived all of her life in Washington Township. She was a member ofthe Poke Run Presbyterian Church, Washington Township, where she was a member of the ladies' auxilia- ry; Washington Township Fire De- partment Ladies Auxiliary; 4-H Club, Washington Township; and North Washington Grange. Surviving are two sons and three daughters:. W. James, Washington Township; Paul E., Bell Township; Mrs. Kenneth (Lucille) Gearhart, Washington Township; Mrs. Elmer (Janet) Beck, Penn Hills; and Mrs. Wesley (Mary Leu) McCutcheon, Kent; 13 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilbur J. Bowman, in 1979; one grandson, David K. Gearhart; four brothers and two sisters; and an infant son. Friends will be received at the Gerald J. Medice Funeral Home, North Apollo, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Wayne Blaser officiating. Interment will be in Poke Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Washington Township.
