Eustace "Newt" Brandon, 81 of 78 Harrison St. Homer City, died Saturday, Dec.
26, 1987, at his home.
A son of Duke and Cora Lamer Brandon, he was born March 18, 1906, in Cookport.
Mr. Brandon was a member of UMWA Local 488, Lucernemines.
He was a retired coal miner , having worked 54 years for R&P Coal Co. and
Creighton Coal Co.
Surviving are his wife, Viola Nora Brandon; four children: Mrs. Edward
(Joan) Robbins, Huntington, Ind.; Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Vaylo, Homer City;
Thomas and Timothy, at home; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert; two brothers, William and Edward.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Monday in Browser-Askew
Funeral Home, Homer City, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Rev. Randy Hersey will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetary,
Indiana.
