Chestnut Street passed away at the Aspinwall Veterans Hospital on Sunday morning after an illness of six months. Mr. Carlson was born at Wilmette, Ill.,. on December 31, 1910, the son of John and Lina (Anderson) Carlson. He was a former manager of the W. T. Grant Company Store, and served in World War II as Captain of a supply station in England. Mr. Carlson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Forsha Carlson, one daughter, Sara Alice, and one son, John Howard, both at home, his mother, Mrs. Lina Carlson of I Skokie, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Warner, of Skokie, Ill., and one brother, Charles E., of Winnetka, Ill. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home where funeral services will he held this (Tuesday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. John N. Hempstead, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will I follow in the Blairsville Cemetery.
