Indiana Gazette (Indiana, PA) - 11 Apr 1900
Mrs. Phinetta Carney, widow of the late John Carney, died at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. John Bergman, of Johnstown, last Thursday. Mrs. Carney was born in
this place 80 years ago, her maiden name being Brown. In 1841 she was married to
John Carney and for 25 years they resided in Blairsville, removing to Johnstown in
1868. The deceased is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bergman, and two sisters, Mrs.
George Wilkinson, of Blairsville, and Mrs. Absalom Brown, of  Johnstown. The funeral
services were held on Saturday afternoon at 3. Interment was made at Johnstown.
