A son of Samuel H. and Margaretta George Conrad, he was born Oct. 20, 1889, in New Florence. Mr. Conrad was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Hess Conrad in 1958. He was a retired feed merchant, having conducted business in the Indiana area for many years and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Indiana. Survivors include one son and a daughter: Samuel Melvin, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Earl (Mary Elizabeth) Bryson, of Claymont, Del.; a brother, Frank, Josephine; four sisters: Mrs. O. M. (Myrtle) Lockard, White Haven, Tenn.; Mrs. Jacob (Edna) Pyer, Homer City; Mrs. Rollo (Elmo) McFeaters, Brush Valley; Mrs. George (Ethel) Thompson, Blairsvile; and six grandchildren. Friends will be received at Robinson-Lytle's Funeral Home in Indiana, this evening where the Rev. Leroy Whiteman will conduct services on Monday. Interment will be in Armaugh Cemetery.
