Mrs. Carol G. Forsha Cordi, 64, of Blairsville RD 3, died Sunday, June 3, 2001,
at Loyalhanna Care Center. She was born Sept. 29, 1936, in Blairsville, Indiana
County, a daughter of the late Vernon M. and Helen Marie (Bennett) Forsha. She
was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Derry. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Salvadore "Sal" J. Cordi in
1999 and Wallace H. Treece in 1960. Carol is survived by her children, David W.
Treece (and his wife, Christine) of Bradenville, Mrs. Luella "Peggy" Terney (and
her husband, David) of Latrobe and Mrs. Debbie Percha (and her husband, James)
of Uniontown, Ohio; five grandchildren, David Anthony, Jennifer, Stephen, Kaleen
and Stuart; her sister, Mrs. Lila Thomas (and her husband, Harold) of
Blairsville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 7 to 9
p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Michael J. Quinlisk Funeral
Home Inc., 548 N. Chestnut St., Derry. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30
a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry, with the Rev. Stephen
C. West as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Derry
Township VFD, Bradenville, will conduct a service 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral
home.
