Coleman, of near Conemaugh Church, on Saturday, April 27. She was the last member of her family and had lived all her life on the farm where she was born. Her grandfather, Nicholas Coleman, settled on this farm in 1774, built a log cabin, planted fruit seeds and cleared land until 1799 when the Indians compelled them to leave. Having first buried the pewter table ware and cooking utensils, all other goods were burned by the Indians in the Coleman Cabin. Their nearest neighbor at that time was at Broadford on the present site of Cokeville, near Blairsville. The Coleman's jorneyed to Franklin Co, and remained there twelve years. Upon their return to this property near Conemaugh Church they found peach trees loaded with peaches where they had planted the seed. This farm had been and is owned by descendants of Nichaolas Coleman. The funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by Rev. R. J. Dodds, paster of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, off Freeport assisted by the Rev. W. E. Minteer, of Saltsburg. Additional Comments: I don't have the name of the newspaper as all of the obits I will submit are clippings from a scrapbook. If there is a newspaper name and date I will list it.
