Coleman, of Kiskiminetas Township aged 67 years, died at the home of his son Frank A. Coleman, 314 Harrison Ave., Vandergrift on Saturday, Oct. 1, 1927, following an illness of heart trouble. Mr. Coleman had been of failing health for sometime, and it was only about two weeks ago that he became serious and from that time on he gradually grew worse until the end came. Deceased was born in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, January 27, 1860, and was the son of William A. Coleman and Nancy J. Coleman, who moved from Indiana County to a farm near South Bend, Armstsrong County, when deceased was quite young, where he reside with his father on the farm for some years, during which time he was married to Rhetta May Allshouse who preceded him from the earthly scenes of this life in January of this year, and after leaving South Bend he came to Spring Church. Deceased was a member of the Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church for a number of years, and always took an active interest in all church affairs as well as an interest in civic matters of the community, and at the time of his death he was one of the members of the board of trustsees of the church of which he was a member, and had served in that official capacity for a number of years. He leaves to mourn his death the following children: Frank A. Coleman and Mrs. Quincy A. Gourley, of Vandergrift; Mrs Roy A. Beck of North Vandergrift; Mrs. Irvin A. Gourley, Mrs. Charles E. Householder, Mrs. Charles Clark, Mrs. Homer Hileman and Clair C. Coleman all of Apollo, and Verle J. Coleman and Elzo Coleman at home, as well as the following brothers and sisters, William Coleman, of South Bend, Mrs. George M. Anderson of Apollo and Mrs. Harry Devers of South Bend. Also 20 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock by the Rev. Walter L Moser of Apollo, assisted by the Rev. M. Clare, pastor of the First Lutheran Church of Apollo. Interment in the Spring Church cemetery.
