COOK, 38, of Portage, died Saturday, 25 September 1937, in a Pittsburgh hospital, where he had been a patient for several weeks, following a long illness. A native of Indiana Co., Mr. Cook was born in Cookport, February 17, 1899, a son of John B. and Claire (Learn) Cook, both  deceased. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edith (Taylor) Cook and three children, Irene, Donald and Eleanor Cook, all at home.  Floyd B. Cook was a brother of Vernon and Jay Cook of Indiana, Paul Cook  of Johnstown. Mrs. Harry Thompson of Albany, NY, and Mrs. Raymond St..Clair of 1193 Washington Street, Indiana. The body was removed to the home of Mrs. St..Clair in Indiana, where funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon.  Rev. John W. Kennedy, Pastor of the First Regular Baptist Church in Indiana officiated. Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery at Indiana. Plot # I-448 [Indiana Democrat, Wednesday, September 29, 1937]
