COOK {COOKIE}, 49, of 551 South 7th St.., Indiana, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Nov.. 25, 1969, at the Presbyterian - University Hospital, Pittsburgh. A son of Vernon H. and the late Iona Henry Cook, he was born May 12, 1920, in Indiana. He was the husband of Margaret G. Hamilton and was a lifelong resident of Indiana. A deliveryman for the Sani-Dairy Company of Johnstown for the past seven years, he had been associated with the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Indiana for some 27 years previous. Mr. Cook was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. NAVY in the Pacific theater of operations, and had been active in various veteran's organizations in this area.  He was a member and past commander of American Legion Post No. 141, the 40 et 8, the VFW Post No. 1989,  the United Veterans of Indiana County, currently serving as treasurer; the FOE  No. 1468 and the UCT, all of Indiana. Surviving are his wife, mentioned above; two sons, Vernon Clark , of Norfolk, Va.., John Joseph of Indiana; a daughter, Mrs.. Bernard C. (Peggy) Albright of Beaufort, S.C., his father and stepmother, Elizabeth Kaylor Cook of Indiana; two grandchildren, Clark David  and Kimberly Patricia Cook, both of Norfolk, Va..; a half brother, James V. of Pittsburgh and three half sisters,: Mrs.. Robert (Lois) Trainer of Indiana: Mrs.. Clarence (Dorothy) Widdowson of Erie, and Mrs.. Robert (Betty) Spence of Virginia Beach, Va.. Friends will be received at 7-9 this evening and from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday at the Richard T. Bell Funeral Home, Indiana, where services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. Mr. Ray D. Beggs will officiate and interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana. Full military rites will be accorded at graveside, jointly by the VFW Post 1989 and the American Legion Post 141 of Indiana. Members of the 40 et 8 will conduct services at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday evening. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Heart Fund, Indiana Chapter.
