Edna Dias, 82, of Dilltown, died Thursday, June 10, 1982, at Indiana Hospital. A
daughter of Harry and Sarah Frantz Woodring, she was born Jan 27, 1900, in Port
Matilda. Mrs. Dias had served as assistant postmaster in Dilltown for 20 years
and was a member of the Dilltown Senior Citizens. Surviving are a daughter
Kathryn Frear of Dilltown: three granddaughters: five great-grandchildren, and
several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, Thornton L., who died in December 1962, two sisters: Ruth and Katherine
and a brother, Chaney. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from
2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday at the Kenneth N. Gray Funeral Home, Seward, where a brief
prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Funeral services will follow at
11 am at Forest Lawn Chapel, Johnstown. The Rev. Jack M. Long will officiate.
Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
