Dunmire, a life long resident of Canoe township, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter Mrs.George W. Smith, in Rossiter after a lingering illiness covering a period of six years. He was 79 years of age. The deceased was born in Canoe township the son of Lewis and Catherine Dunmire and was one of seven children.He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Smith, October 29,1874, and to them six children were born. He followed sawmilling and farming all of his life and was a member of the Evangelical Church. Honest , industrious and fair in all his dealings his death is keenly felt by the people of theis community. He leaves the following sons and daughters: Charles W. Dunmire of St Louis,Mo; Mrs George Smith, of Rossiter;Mrs William Eccelbarger, of Wilson and Walter Dunmire , of Patton. Three sisters also survive: Mrs. Samuel Griffith, of Rossiter, Mrs Henry Smith and Mrs. C.H. White, of Canoe township. Funeral services will be held at Pine church Friday morning,the curtege leaving the Smith home ay (:30. Interment in Pine church cemetery.
