Mrs. Sophia Edwards, wife of Frank Edwards, died at her home on Jefferson
Street Thursday evening of last week, after an illness extending over several
weeks, from typhoid fever. Mrs. Edwards' maiden name was Sophia Long, and
she was a sister of Mr. John Long, who for a number of years conducted
a bargain store in Brookville. She was united in marriage with Mr. Edwards
about fifteen years ago, and is survived by her husband and one son, Clyde,
aged about thirteen years. Funeral services were conducted at the late
home of the deceased at 2:30 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, by Rev. Dr.
Jas. Conway, after which interment was made in the Broookville Cemetery.
