We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Reprinted through the courtesy of the Indiana Gazette Rosie Elgin Rosie Genevieve Cessna Elgin, 85, Indiana, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at the Indiana Hospital. The daughter of Frank Roy and Edna Pearl Cough Cessna, she was born Nov. 22, 1912, in Armstrong County. Mrs. Elgin had lived most of her life in the Indiana County area, where she had attended the Grays- tone Presbyterian Church. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for many families throughout the county as a housekeeper and she had worked as a dispatcher for the Red and White Taxi Company. Surviving are one son, Robert A. Elgin, Indiana; six brothers: Virge Cessna, Elderton; Charles H. Cess- na, Shelocta; Clyde Cessna, Avon- more; Miles Keith Cessna, Weirton, W.Va.; William Ward Cessna, Elyr- ia, Ohio; and James Merill Cessna, Warren, Ohio; four sisters: Clarissa Meyer, Shelocta; Laura June Carr and Mildred Albanese, both of Balti- more; and Mary Rose, New Market, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Cess- na; and one sister, Velma Claypool. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Robinson- Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Vaughn Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Indiana.
