Forsha, 78, a resident of Green Township, Clymer RD, near Purchase Line, passed away at Miners Hospital, Spangler, at 7:83 a.m. Sunday, October 2. Born in Bairdstown, Westmoreland County, January 29, 1877, a ton of William Jefferson and Mary R. (Guss) Forsha, he was a former resident of Blairsville. Mr. Forsha was a retired engineer of the Pennsylvania Railroad and a Spanish American War Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minta Stitt Forsha and a daughter, Marilyn Naomi, at home. Eight children to two previous marriages also survive. They are: Melvin A. Forsha, Blairsville; Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Jones, Blairsville RD 1; Preston A. Forsha, Blairsville; Mrs. Mary V. McIntosh, Chula Vista, California; Paul W. Forsha, Blairsville; James E. Forsha, Blairsville RD 2; Miss Sue M. Forsha, San Diego, California; Philip A. Forsha, United States Navy. One stepson, William R. Waugaman of Greensburg and eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. One son, Vernon M. Forsha, preceded him in death, January 7, 1955. Three sisters survive, Mrs. Carrie McChesney, Blairsville RD; Mrs. Daisy Libengood, Alliance, Ohio and Mrs. Bessie Bergman, Blairsville. Friends will be received at his late home near Purchase Line after 7 p.rn, today and until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, when the body will be removed to the First Methodist Church, Blairsville, where friends may pay their respect from 12 o'clock noon until the hour of service. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. H. E. Martin officiating. Burial will be made In the Blairsville cemetery. The Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, is caring for arrangements.
