Robert R. Forsha, 77, of 104 Pershing Ave., Blairsville, died Sunday, Feb. 23,
1986, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1908, in Blairsville, a son
of the late Ralph and Sarah Cribbs Forsha. An owner of Forsha Sporting Goods of
Blairsville for 42 years, retiring in 1976, he was a member of the United
Presbyterian Church of Blairsville, a life member of BPOE Lodge 406, a former
president of the Blairsville Businessmen's Association and former president of
Blairsville Rotary Club. He was predeceased by one sister, Helen Piper, in 1986
and five brothers, Roy, Ralph, George, Clarence and Don. Surviving are his wife,
Helen E. Mihalyov Forsha; one daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Shirley) Snyder of
Riverside, Calif.; three grandsons; one brother, Joseph of San Diego, Calif.,
and two sisters, Mrs. Betty McCracken of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Mary Lou
Beatty of Rockledge, Fla. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the United Presbyterian Church of
Blairsville, with the Rev. Roger D. Petersen officiating. Interment will follow
in Blairsville Cemetery. BPOE service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in
the funeral home.
