Born March 19, 1894, in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County, Pa., she was a daughter of the late James and Martha Dunmire Akins and had spent all of her life in the Saltsburg community. She was a member of the Saltsburg Methodist church. Surviving are her husband, Paul K. Forsha; three sons, Charles Mowry, Saltsburg, Pa.; Paul Mowry, South Bend, Indiana; Ralph Mowry, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Three daughters, Mrs. Mary King, Saltsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Laura McFall, New Kensington, Pa.; Mrs. Rose Carrigan, New Kensington, Pa.; five brothers, William Akins, of Leechburg; Charles, Leechburg; Oliver, Saltsburg; George, Oil City; Grover, Jeannette; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Pugh, Leechburg and Mrs. Etta Myers, Saltsburg; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends were received after 7:00 p. m. Tuesday at Robinson funeral home, Saltsburg, where services were conducted Thursday, July 17, at 1:30 p. m. The Rev. Harold Abram officiated.
