Donald Thomas Forsha, 58, of Blairsville RD 2, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 1978 in
Latrobe Area Hospital. A son of Jesse T. and Myrtle Riter Forsha, he was born
March 26, 1920 in Blairsville. Mr. Forsha was a member of Acacia Lodge 355, F &
AM of Blairsville, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Coudersport. He was
a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. A lifelong resident of
Blairsville, Mr. Forsha retired in 1975 from Torrance State Hospital. Surviving
are his widow. Barbara J. Irwin Forsha, three brothers: Glen, Blairsville,
Wayne, Blairsville RD 2; Harold, Arnold; three sisters: Mrs. William (Nellie)
Lowman. Blairsville, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Ault, Delmont, Mrs. William
(Gertrude) Flickinger, Aurora, Colo. He was preceded in death by his daughter,
Kathie in 1975, and a sister, Eloise, in 1976. Friends are being received from
2-4 and 7-9 p m. today and Tuesday in the Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home,
Blairsville, where services will he held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday with
the Rev. E. Earl Anderson officiating. Interment will be Blairsville Cemetery
Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
