Mrs. Gertrude Forsha, of Chestnut Street, Blairsville, died, at her late home on
Saturday, July 6, 1963. She was born in Bolivar on February 27, 1878, a daughter
of the late Jacob and Mary Agnes Davis James. Her husband, Alva, preceded her in
death in 1936. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Ethel Rickard of Atlanta,
Ga.; Mrs Alice Altemus and Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Auen, both of Blairsville;  one
sister, Mrs. Myrtle Garland of Salina; 12 grandchildren. and 22 great-
grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shoemaker Funeral Home in
Blairsville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services will be conducted
Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth R. Miller
officiating. Interment in Blairsville Cemetery.
