IVAN CLYDE FETTERMAN, 88, of Belleville, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 1994, in Valley View Haven Nursing Home, Belleville. He was a member of the Montgomery Church of the Brethren, Purchase Line, and had been involved in education and the ministry from 1926 through 1969. He was a graduate of Juniata College and had received theological degrees from Bethany College and from Oxford University in England. He had taught at Commodore High school for 18 years and served for a time as supervising principal. He was minister of the former Montgomery Church of the Brethren, Glen Campbell RD 2, for 20 years. He had also served as minister of the Green Tree Church of the Brethren, Phoenixville, Pa.; Hollidaysburg, Pa., and the Montgomery Church of the Brethren, Purchase Line. Upon his retirement, he moved to Belleville. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Haer Fetterman, whom he married in 1947, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Eva Fetterman. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Albert E. Rairigh Funeral Home in Hillsdale. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Montgomery Church of the Brethren, Purchase Line, with the Reverends Chalmer Dilling and Gary Mosorjak officiating. Interment will be in Montgomery Cemetery, Glen Campbell RD 2.
