Fonzi Jr., 73, Loyal- hanna Township, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. The son of William and Anna Walters Fonzi, he was born July 8, 1924, in Pittsburgh. Mr. Fonzi lived in Wilkinsburg and then, for the past 12 years, in Loyalhanna Township. He retired in 1984 from the Pitts- burgh Port Authority, Where he worked as a dispatcher. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, and a member of the Church of the Naza- rene, Saltsburg. He is survived by his wife, Lois Fryman Fonzi, Loyalhanna Town- ship; six daughters: Linda E. Hall, Bell Township; Barbara E. Leech, Turtle Creek; Elizabeth A. Carey; McCandless Township; Carol L. Fonzi, Loyalhanna Township; Don- na J. Johnston and Lori L. Fonzi, Turtle Creek; one brother, James Fonzi, Penn Hills; and 15 grandchil- dren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward Fonzi and Russell Walters. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Curran Fu- neral Home, Saltsburg, where a service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Rick Dellecave, officiating. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg.
