The son of George and Katherine Blackner Frederick, he was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Strongstown. Mr. Frederick was a former coal miner and belonged to UMWA Local 1680, Seward. Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Fulton; six children: George, Strongstown; John and his fiancee, Missy Malloy, Strongstown; Anna and her husband, Thomas Hauck, Twin Rocks; Erma and her fiancee, Rick Warzel, Strongstown; Mary Jo, Barnesboro; and Jessie, Barnes- boro; a grandson, Brandon Hauck; his mother, Katherine Blackner Frederick, Strongstown; four broth- ers: George, Michigan; and Harry, Ronald and Dave, all of Strongs- town. He was preceded in death by his father, George Frederick; and a sister, Shirley Marie. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Bow- ser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Clayton Harriger officiating. Interment will be in the Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.
