The daughter of Lester P. and Villa Viola Gaston Whitesell, she was born June 24, 1924, in North Mahoning Township, Indiana Coun- ty. Mrs. Gardner was a retired em- ployee of Moore Business Forms Co. in Niagara Falls, N.Y. She was a member of the Saga- more Gospel Center in Sagamore. Surviving are her husband, Law- rence E. "Bill" Gardner; two sis- ters, Mary M. McCormick, Rossiter RD 1, and Louise "Pete" Zerbe, Smicksburg RD 1; one brother, Richard Whitesell, Lockport, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received in ihe Pifer Funeral Home, Punxsutaw- ney, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends also will be received in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, the time of servic- es. The Rev. Reid Blystone will officiate and interment will be in the North Point Cemetery in North Point.
