Betty Garris


 Betty Kay Davis Garris, 58, of
South Spring Street, Blairsville, died
Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997, at Latrobe
Area Hospital.
 The daughter of Raymond Earl
"Boo" and Olive Mae Foust Palmer,
she was born May 5, 1939, in Bairds-
town.
 A homemaker, Mrs. Garris at-
tended the Hebron Lutheran Church,
Blairsville, and volunteered for
many years with the Blairsville
Food Bank.
 Surviving are four sons: John
Wayne Munshower and his wife,
Debbie, West Newton; Dennis Mun-
shower and his wife, Cindy, Coch-
ranton; Mike Munshower and his
wife, Darlene, Meadville; and
James Munshower and his wife,
Bobbi, Meadville; three daughters:
Mrs. Robert (Lisa) Finley, Smith-
ton; Kelly Munshower, Greensburg,
and Mrs. Roger (Ramona) Bedard,
Torrance; seven sisters: Grace Ber-
nabei, Blairsville; Patsy Palmer,
Blairsville; Charlotte Schimt, Pitts-
burgh; Carol Howard, Blairsville;
Bonnie Harr, Latrobe; Marla
McConnell, Blairsville; Jodi Carroz-
za, New Alexandria; and one broth-
er, Raymond Earl "Skip" Palmer
Jr., Latrobe.
 She also is survived by 11 grand-
children and one great-grandson.
 She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband, William Wal-
lace Garris, who died in 1995, and an
infant daughter, Deborah Kay Mun-
shower.
 Friends will be received from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the James
F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Blairs-
ville, where a funeral service will be
held 11 a.m. Friday the Pastor
Stephen Herr officiating. Interment
will be in Blairsville Cemetery.
