The daughter of Elmer R. and Bertha Lee Springer, she was born Feb. 25, 1918, m Indiana. Mrs. Griffith was a graduate of Indiana High School and was a member of the Ambrose Baptist Church. She served as an officer in many capacities with the American Baptist Church Association for more than 50 years. She was also a member of the Electa Rebekah Lodge and a former member of the Desdemona Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, WendellJ. Griffith, whom she married on July 15, 1940; one son, Rodney W., Canadaigua, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. John (Coletta) Da- vis, Plumville, and Mrs. Raymond (Celeste) Irwin, Marion Center RD 2; 13 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren: She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David; two broth- ers, Earl and Paul Springer; and two sisters, Leona Smyers and Laur- etta Winters. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Bowser-Minich Funer- al Home, Plumville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Ambrose Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Stradling officiating. Interment will be in the Smicksburg Cemetery.
