HAMILTON MET SUDDEN DEATH WELL KNOWN RESIDENT STRICKEN WITH HEART TROUBLE SAT. NIGHT. UP STREET THAT DAY He Was in Falling Health but the News of His Death Proved a Suprise * * * * * Prominent in Army and Masons * * * The community was shocked Sabbath morning to learn of the sudden death of GEORGE TRIMBLE HAMILTON, of South Fifth Street., during the previous night at 1:15 a.m. Death was due to neuralgia of the heart. The deceased had been suffering from the disease during the day, but his condition was not considered serious and he was able to do some shopping on Saturday. Shortly after 1 o'clock Sabbath morning Mrs. Hamilton arose to give her husband some medicine and found him dead. Mr. Hamilton was born at the Trimble homestead near town, in 1843. On July 2, 1868 he was married to Miss Elizabeth McLanahan, of this place, who with a son, Clark Hamilton, of Indiana, and daughter, Miss Bess Hamilton, a nurse in the Braddock General Hospital, survive. Two brothers, James, of Indiana and Sample, of Red Oak, Ia., and a sister, Mrs. S. S. Munshower, of near town also survive. Mr. Hamilton conducted a hardware store on Philadelphia Street, until his retirement from business about a year ago. He was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of Post No. 28, of Indiana. The deceased was connected with the I.O.O. F. lodge and a high degree Mason, belonging to the Blue Lodge, No. 113, in Indiana; to Knight Templar No. 1, Commandery, and was a 32nd degree mason. The funeral services will be held at the Hamilton home on Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, by Rev. E. S. Harper, rector of the Christ Episcopal church. The interment will be private at Oakland cemetary, the services at the grave being conducted by the Masonic Lodge. Members of the G. A. R. will act as honary pall-bearers.
