William was married to Ida Elizabeth Beltz on October 11, 1904 they had the following children: Delbert, Charlotte Grace who married Wilbur John Scott, Raymond Smith who married Essie Elkin, Clara Mae (Tommy) who married Dale Francis Elkin, Edith Madge (aka Edna Josephine) who married Donald McMillen then Russel Raymond Kerr, Vaida Myrtle who married Dale Wallace McMillen then Clair Miller Warden, Harvey Dale who married Grace Alene Peffer, and Helen Jean married Lester Weaver then Chester Poole. At the time of death William had 29 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. William was a skilled carpenter and a farmer.
