    Joan Henry

 Joan Eileen Henry, 61, Blairsville
RD 5, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at
her residence.
 The daughter of Joseph F. and
Eleanor Mae Shaffer Johnston, She
was born April 18, 1937, in Greens-
burg.
 She worked as a nurse's aide at
Indian Haven for 18 years and at
Beacon Manor for two years.
 Survivors include her husband,
David Henry, Blairsville RD 5,
whom she married in 1956; her
father, Joseph Johnstown, Homer
City; one daughter, Kim Henry
Blairsville RD 5; four sons: David
A. Henry, Blairsville RD 5; Alan
Henry, Louisville, Ky.; Gary Henry
and his wife, Donna, North Hamp-
ton; Rick Henry, Beckley, W.Va.;
three sisters: June Johnston, Roch-
ester, N.Y.; Dorothy Clawson,
Brush Valley; Judy Johnston, Dur-
ham, N.C.; and four brothers: Don
Johnston and his wife, Judy, Salt
Lake City, Utah; Tom Johnston and
his wife, Dee, Greenville, S.C.; Lar-
ry Johnston and his wife, Diane,
Homer City; and Tim Johnston,
Shelocta; five grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by her
mother; a sister, Nancy Westover;
and a brother, Robert Johnston.
 Friends will be received Monday
from noon to 2 p.m. at the C.
Frederick Bowser Funeral Home,
Homer City. Funeral services, con-
ducted by Rev. James Myers, will be
private.


 A tree will be planted
in living memory for
Joan Eileen Henry.
