M. shabodeho@aol.com June 3, 2010, 9:43 am Indiana County Gazette 1/5/1910 William Hunter Indiana County Gazette 1/5/1910 The remains of William Hunter, a P. R. R. freight brakeman and a well-known resident of Cresson, who died at an Altoona hospital Sunday, Dec. 26, were removed to Patton, where interment took place Wednesday. Mr Hunter died of internal injuries received while on duty. He was passing from one box car to another, when the snow on the roof caused him to slip. His stomach struck the running board and his intestines were ruptured. At the Altoona hospital, where he was taken for treatment, an operation was performed in the hope of saving his life. The deceased was 36 years of age, and is survived by his widow, two sons and the following brothers and sisters: John, Hugh, George and Jacob Hunter, of Clymer; James Hunter, of Spangler; Edward Hunter, postmaster at Patton, and Anna and Agnes Hunter, of Clymer.
