JAMISON AGED BLAIRSVILLE RESIDENT FAILS TO RECOVER FROM FOOT AMPUTATION FOLLOWING ACCIDENT ON LIBENGOOD FARM Alexander C. Jamison, aged Blairsville resident, died at the Indiana Hospital at 2:30 p. m. Monday from injuries received in an accident on the Earl Libendood farm, north of here, last Thursday. Mr. Jamison's left foot was mangled so badly in a corn husking machine that it had to be amputated. The shock and loss of blood following the accident proved fatal. Mr. Jamison was born in Indiana county February 17, 1853 and had lived in his residence on North Spring street, here, for many years. Funeral services will be held from the home of a daughter, Mrs. L. D. Beatty, 169 Maple avenue, at 2:30 p. m., Thursday, in charge of the Rev. J. T. Davis. Burial will be made in Blairsville cemetery. One son, John Jamison, of Blairsville, and five daughters survive: Mrs. Catherine Beatty and Mrs. June Lydic, of Blairsville; Mrs. Mary Reid and Mrs. Elizabeth Husband, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Margie Redpath, Aspinwall. Eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
