JEFFRIES, 87, of 1157 Oak St., Indiana, died Saturday, April 5, 1980, in Indian Haven. A son of George and Elizabeth (Rittenhouse) Jeffries, he was born July 8, 1892 in Rochester Mills. Mr. Jeffries was a member of the First Christian Church, Indiana. He had lived in Indiana since 1914, and was first married to Lola Wyke, who is deceased. Mr. Jeffries retired from his association with the Clymer Water Co. in 1958 after 28 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Shaw Jeffries; a son, G.M. Jeffries, Phoenix, Ariz. and five daughters: Mrs. M.G. (Marie) Vanderhoff, Dunkirk, N.Y.; Mrs. Richard (Opal) Lias; Mrs. Eugene (Connie) Rising and Mrs. William (Carol) Everett, all of Indiana; Mrs. Oliver (Sandy) Shields, Laurel Del.; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: Harold, Glen Campbell and Robert, Punxsutawney; and four sisters: Mrs. Nola Lydick and Mrs. Dolly Hess, both of Indiana; Mrs. Isabel Berry, Glen Campbell and Mrs. Georgia Gardner, Hanover. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lola Wyke Jeffries. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Paul N. Wilkins officiating.
