She was the daughter of Hugh and Eliza (Connor) Work and was born June 3rd, 1878 in Grant Twp., Indiana County. The deceased had made her home in Rochester Mills all her life until two months ago when she came to the Crumrine home. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Rochester Mills, the church Missionary Society and the Rochester Mills Temperence Union. She is survived by her husband, James H. Jeffries and the following children: Charles, Howard, William, Mrs. Stanley (Josephine) Johnston, Mrs. Earl (Hazel) Crumrine, Jr., Misses Ruth and Louise, all of Indiana. The deceased was a sister of Charles Work of Cosmopolitan, Washington; Walter Work of Rochester Mills; Mrs. Margaret Clark and Mrs. Alice Gates of Johnstown and Mrs. Lulu Wilden of Indiana. Friends will be received in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Crumrine, Jr., after 7:30 o'clock this evening until 10:30 o'clock Wednesday when the body will be removed to the United Presbyterian Church in Rochester Mills to lie in state from the noon hour Wednesday until 2:00 o'clock, the hour of service, Reverend Hugh Given will officiate at the funeral service.
