On June 29, 1888, she was united in marriage with Frank M. Jeffries of Grant Township, who predeceased her by accidental death on May 1, 1924. Surviving to this union are five daughters: Mrs. Vernor (Leopolde) Van Leer of Punxsutawney R.D.1; Mrs. William B. (Celia) Drummond of Indiana; Mrs. George R. (Genevieve) Stephenson of Hubbard, Ohio R.D.2; Mrs. J. Lee (Pearle) Mauk of Indiana, and Mrs. Lewis H. (Helen)Patterson of Floral Park, Long Island, NY. Also left to survive are: one sister, Mrs. Hope Rolley of Williamsport; two brothers: Don Nichol of Tigard, Oregon and John Nichol of Denver, Colorado; four grandsons, three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Most of the deceased's life waslived in the county in which she was born and in the borough of Indiana since 1924. A member of the Graystone United Presbyterian Church, the Mabel Waller Mack Bible Class and the Women's Christian Fellowship, she was a faithful and regular attendant of Sabbath School and Church as long as health permitted. In active health beyond her 91st year, Mother Jeffries was a woman of sterling character, a wonderfully capable homemaker and devoted mother, endearing herself to all who knew her; one whose life portrayed the fruit of the spirit. Enbued with wisdom and foresight, coupled with faith, courage and great perseverance, she met every issue of life bravely and ran her race with patience. Only those whose privilege it was to really know her can understand how much she will be missed. Arrangements are in charge of Robinson-Lytle's in Indiana where services will be conducted by her visitation minister, Rev. William Sutherland, on Tuesday, June 28, at 3:00 o'clock p.m., with interment following in the family plot in Oakland Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home Monday from 2-5 p.m. in the afternoon and 7 to 9 p.m. in the evening.
